Canon 10-16 lens

Hello, I'm looking for a wide angle lens so that I can capture a lager "scene" in my time lapse photography. I'm tempted by the Canon 10-16 lens (to use on my 7D) would this be a good choice? Any other recommendations to compare? Thanks

Since last week, the Sigma 10-20mm F3,5 EX DC HSM is in my bag ( http://www.sigma-foto.de/produkte/objekt...c-hsm.html / http://www.sigmaphoto.com/product/10-20mm-f35-ex-dc-hsm ) and I like it on my 7D... Tested this lens last sunday with my DIY-pan/tilt-head-controller and I think this could be an alternative, or the slower with F4,0-5,6, maybe.
But, wich 10-16mm from Canon do you prefer, I didn't found such a lens on the Canon website...

I must correct that, the lens that I was looking at was the Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens (not 10-16 as I had said) I've talked to some friends and they have recommended the
Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 Lens for Canon Mount, which I have placed an order for. Although it is quite a bit more expensive it id much faster going down to 2.8 which I think will be very useful. I'm glad you are liking the Sigma, thanks for the tip.
