I have a humble D40 and I recently bought an iMac. I have been trying to get them to work together to create a timelapse movie, ie clouds, flower etc, but still no luck. Tried the nikon camera control pro 2, and it is crashing before it even starts. Tried the istopmotion by boinx and it has the countdown running, ie every 30 seconds and then it simply starts over again with no photo taken. I ended up making the timelapse with my iPhone, which by the way was pretty descent! Any suggestions???????????

With the D40 I would recommend an external timer (remote shutter release). Search for D40 timer at Ebay and/or Amazon.

Got my solution with the USB cable and sofortbild shareware!!! Works like a charm and I have all the space I need for my raw images since they are stored on my HDD.
