Date / time original

Hi Gunther, I'm not sure about users of LRTimelapse but one problem I struggle with is sorting to getting an early preview of the time lapse. To me, the 'Sort by Filename' feature is redundant. Cameras don't necessarily put them order and number flows don't always follow a sequence. Hence, you end up previewing a time lapse in LRtimelapse and getting a chopped version. You're actually better off I reckon by sorting by Date / time original for workflow. Logically, all photo files follow a time sequence. I hope I made point well enough. Let me know your thoughts.

Hi, the default is to sort by Date/Time. This is pretty fine in 99% of the cases after LRTimelapse has initialized the metadata and transferred the exif-data.

The option to sort by filename if for cases for images without metadata. Many people rename their sequences anyway, providing consecutive numbers.

BTW: After-Effects and Photoshop offer the same option when importing image sequences.
