Export resolution

Hello,

there is something that is bothering me for a while now, why does the export module in lightroom does larger image than the actual resolution of the source ?

I've been working with sRAW2 files lately and they have been blowed up to 4K when exported to LRTimelapse.

Thanks.

This refers only to the intermediate sequences that will be used as basis for rendering the final video afterward. It allows you to generate different resolution videos from that intermediate sequence without having to go through the time consuming development process over and over.

Thanks Gunther, that's not what i meant. If i'm shooting in 2K, why would i export it to 4K to render it to something smaller ? by blowing up the image 200%, i'm not gaining anything. What if i want to save HD space as well as rendering time when i'm shooting 2K for 1080p for example ?
