i have been experimenting with the different video presets and i was wondering why a 4K slideshow is about half the size then from a 1080 output.
i use 350 photos and the 1080 is 1 mpeg-4 movie of 144mb and with a frame rate of 23.976, when i do it with a 4K output its only 80 mb.
did i miss something or so?

The output size depends on the bitrate not the resolution. Due to compatibility problems the bitrate for 4K is a bit lower than for 1080p.
