Exporting in 4K - Private License

Offline
#1 Oli_T
Hi everyone hope you are all doing well.

I'm fairly new to both time lapses and photography in general. But I have to managed to create 4 or 5 time lapses over the past few weeks and I'm really happy with them.

However, I can only afford the private version of LRTimelapse4, and it's amazing - but just one question..

It allows you to render a video in 4K UHD and 4K, however the ProRes option for codec is greyed out and I can't click it.

So my only option is to export in 4K using the H.264 MP4 codec. However neither my Windows 10 PC, my Macbook Pro or my phone can play this file?

Does this mean my only option is to purchase the professional version of LRTimelapse to have access to the ProRes codec option? Because I really cannot afford this license on my student budget Sad

Any suggestions please?

Thanks,
Oli.

ProRes requires the Pro License of LRTimelapse.

But you don't need ProRes to create or play back 4K. You can play back the 4K MP4 (try 4KUHD) with MPC Player: http://mpc-hc.org
Media Player just sucks with this.
