Flicker after editing

Question

Hi everybody,

I've searched the whole Forum, but couldn't find an answer for my specific question.
I have a timelapse, which looks totally flicker free when I look at the unedited footage.

After the edit there is a LOT of flickering.
I've tried everything. With or without deflicker, holygrail edit, standart edit, setting the reference area small, big, in places where definitely is no flicker.

I really don't know where this is coming from. I used two graduating filters in the sky, but the numbers check out, they do not change suddenly.

In the link are two examples, the "unbearbeitet" one is the unedited, the other one is the edited.

Would be really nice if anyone could help me, this is driving me nuts.

Greetings, Robin.

The reason is that you edited the (rather underexposed) sequence really strong and used non-linear tools like clarity, blacks, whites that LR applies after analysind the images. So if you have different images (one with train, one without) the same edits in Lightroom might look different.

We already diskussed this here:

Thank you for the answer! I'm reading through the Thread you posted. Looks interesting.

I guess I will render the sequence only with minor editing out as 16-bit tiff and do the heavy corrections in after effects with some graduated ramps, as masks and so forth.

But thanks again for the answer Smile
