Folder won't load

Offline
#1 Silvertrace
Hi there
I have just loaded LR Timelapse onto my Mac Pro (Mac OS X 10.5.8) and when I navigate to the folder which has my current timelapse (NEFs) the images do not load. The files are on an external RAID-type drive. I have used LR Timelapse on my Macbook Pro (Mac OSX 10.6.8) and have not had any issues loading the files into LR Timelapse. Not really sure how to problem-solve (I do need to say that I'm not terribly technical and am just learning). Any help would be most appreciated as my Macbook Pro is FULL and I don't have the time to clear space and file manage before creating this timelapse (hmm, need some time management hint as well it seems).

Many thanks in advance,
Sam

Please give me some more details to be able to help you.
Does the “no metadata found “ Wizard appear?
What do you exactly see?
Do other folders work?
Do you have xmp Files in the folder?
Last thing you can do is to have a look at the System log and send me the Output.
Thanks!

Hi,
I have tried to use LRtimelapse on my iMac (with OS 10.7.2 -Lion) but when I select the folder with my raw files and xmp file, it doesn't happen anything...on my macbook pro everything is all right....I've tried to copy my folder on desktop, save, save and save again the .xmp file on folder with bridge and lightroom....nothing happens...I've created a new partition on my iMac, installed Snow Leopard on it, and import my account ...
On LRtimelapse when folder selected without xmp, LRtime ask me if I want create XMP; I allow to create to LRtime the xmp file, I click to save button, but the program returns that cannot save...xmp not found...

Permission Problem ? .. I don't know it
thanks to whom helps me and
you excuse for my English writing.

maybe you should try another folder-location, not on desktop? I don't know what the mac does with user rights.
Please send me the log like I said above, otherwise it's very difficult to help.

It seems that there is a problem to write the xmp files. Have you tried another folder? If your files are on a nas please check the rights as well !

I don't think so. You told me that it works on your other mac. I'm not a mac expert but I could imagine that there are some problems with your permissions.
Why don't you try a image folder in your user directory. That should be writable. I don't know if the desktop is by default writable to apps on macs.
I don't know of any other mac user experiencing that kind of problems, so it might be something with your configuration.
