Holy Grail Aperture Ramping - Lens Question

Offline
#1 hztgw6
I read the article about the 3 way ramping using the Nikon D-750 and have a quick question regarding the Nikon lenses. Would I need to use the Nikon lenses with the manual aperture ring for a Holy Grail time lapse using the Nikon D-750 and QDslr to avoid deflickering. Or does the D-750 in combination with qdslr enable me to use Nikon lenses without manual aperture ring as they would keep aperture ring in fixed position.

Thanks,

Carl

The technique I described will rely on the camera controlling the aperture, so you can use any lens for this where the aperture is controllable by the camera. G-Lenses with no aperture-ring will work of course and D-Lenses with aperture Ring too, then you would usually have to set the ring to the smallest aperture to allow the camera to control it.
