Do you love capturing timelapse videos of the night sky?

Does it annoy you when lots of airplanes and satellites streak through the frame?

Fear no more, there is now free software available that will get rid of the vast majority of these annoying airplanes for you, at no cost:

https://github.com/brianm998/nighttime_t...ne_remover

This is free software as in both gratis and libre, i.e. free to use and free to modify and contribute to (GPL v3 license).

If you'd like to see what ntar can do for you, first at this video:

I captured it on November 21, 2022 from panamint valley in california. Being close to both southern california, las vegas, and also a military airbase, there are lots of airplanes, especially near dawn and dusk. This video was captured on Sony a7sii w/ Sony 20mm f/1.8 lens @ 20s and f/1.8, processed with Adobe Lightroom, LRTimelapse, Aurora HDR, Topaz Deonise AI and Adobe Premiere Pro. Rendered at 4KUHD resolution.

Then look at the result of running the same image sequence through ntar:

Most of the airplanes are just gone, see for yourself.

It's ok to announce it here. But please don't double post in different forums, that was 3 posts now with the same content. I've deleted the other two, I hope you understand that.
