Hi, right now I'm using Java 6, but since version 7 is out, I was wondering if it's okay to upgrade to that version.

If your using a Mac couldn't tell you. If your Windows based Java SE 7 isn't available yet but to developers so.... But the simple answer is go to java.com. Click on free Java download. It will scan your browser and give you the latest copy available for your OS. If you do install an upgrade I'd also go back and uninstall any previous versions. On Windows 7 64bit and Windows XP SP3 that would be Ver 6 Update 31. Bottom -line I'd cool my jets if I were you.
