Keyframes not showing up in Lightroom

Offline
#1 Andrew Young
I am following the Lightroom workflow described on page 175 of the book, and this has been working fine for me previously, however, with today's image sequence the keyframes I set in LR time-lapse are not showing up in Lightroom. I tried selecting both synchronize folder and read metadata from files in Lightroom, but I'm not any any stars at all. Any ideas?

I tried manually adding some stars in LR and then choosing read metadata from files again and they went away, so LR does seem to be reading the metadata. Could there be an issue with the writing of the metadata on the LRTimelapse end?

Edit: as a test I manually added an aperture onto in LRTimelapse (it was a manual lens). I saved metadata in LRT and even saw the xmp files update in the finder, but then in LR, I select all and read metadata from files, and the aperture info from LRT also is not coming in. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for this. I have done everything on the list correctly, but my camera date was one day in future (don't know why, it's a loaner from Canon), so that must be it. Is there ant way to fix that without waiting?

Honestly, I don't know. This is an annoying Lightroom issue that adobe unfortunately still hasn't fixed. It has been reported ages ago. Maybe it could help to shift the dates of the files with some special tool - but I fear it will be easier to postpone the editing by one day. Sorry.

I also has this problem, LR does not read the keyframes i set in LRT, so i have to manually set the keyframes in LR.

In LRT, i initialize, set the keyframes and save the xmp. Then i open LR , and select LRT All Keyframes. But no keyframes show up.

EDIT:
I just found out after reading this answer from Gunther: «Hi Nikki, please make sure to be always in Grid Mode (G), clear all filters, then have selected all (Ctrl-A) images before you read Metadata from Files.»

So that is the solution Smile

It won't help to manually set the keyframes in LR because most likely the rest of the metadata will not be travelling as well then.
