License - what does "Commercial" mean?

Just about to purchase a licence. I am intrigued as to what "commercial" means - if I make a film that is used by my company, but does not involve me or my company directly making any money, is this commercial use?

I am planning to make a film about my company using time lapse, I am hoping they like it and will use it, but there is no budget for it, so I am doing it for free - if they like it and it works out, they will not pay me for it, but may use it for promotion without selling it. Do I need the commercial licence?

If I make the film and they don't like it, then the film will be personal use only.

Many thanks,
JR

"Commercial" means, that you are selling the sequence and are making money with it. Normally then you would need the advanced features of the PRO version as well as the ProRes export.

Thanks. I'll look at getting the private one first I think. Without a budget, I need not spend more than necessary without a guarantee of my film being used.
