LRT doesn't load/java virtual memory error

Offline
#1 Andreas Fiskeseth
Hey

I'm having a problem getting LRTimelapse to run properly.

I've been trying to fix the problem myself but nothing I do seems to work.

I'm running Windows 7, 8gb ram and LRTimelapse 2.0.1

When I first install and open the software I get the java virtual memory error. I then go on changing the ram settings in the cmd, setting administrator settings for both java and lrtimelapse.

That takes care of the java virtual memory error but the software will not start. I never get pass the initial "timelapse intro". I believe it must be a problem with java but I'm not sure. Has since tried about everything I've seen suggested on the forum but nothing works for me.

Any idea what I could try next?

Thanks Smile

Hi Andreas,
with 8 GB ram, you shouldn't need to fiddle around with the CMD at all.
I assume there is something wrong with your Java install as well. Please uninstall all java versions on your machine and install the latest from here:

Make sure to get the right on for your System (32 vs. 64 bit!)

Come back to me if you can't sort it out.

Sorry for taking so long getting back to you, been on holidays

I have tried quite a few times re-installing a fresh java, I've even done both 32 and 64, both separately and at the same time just to be sure. It's still the same problem. I still believe it must be a java problem, but my limited knowledge of java is getting me nowhere I'm afraid.

Hi Andreas,
we have a lot of tips here, have you tried them all?
