I went to start up LRTimelapse 1.9.4 today and its stops telling me that the version is expired and I have to download 2.0. Is this the case for all? You can no longer use 1.XX and have to use 2.0?

Yes, 1.9 expired as of September, 1st. I publicly announced this months ago. You can however download LRT2 as a free evaluation version.
