This is a series documenting my first experiences of shooting time lapse photography.
I am a Professional Broadcast Television Camera Operator in the UK as well as a Media lecturer at degree level.
Shooting time lapse photography was not as easy as I thought it would be, and I only had standard Nikor lenses at my disposal.
I got a lot of flickering in my time lapse clips and wanted to try and figure out how to fight it, as well as do it on a budget. (I wouldn't do paid work for something I couldn't do professionally yet, so wasn't going to spend much money until I could get it right.)
These videos document my findings and hopefully will prove useful to anyone starting out in time lapse photography and is having trouble with flickering. I like many others here found this web site and began to look at LRTimelaspe as a viable solution for budget post production software that fixes flickering very well!
I use LRTimelapse quite a lot in this series and was asked if I wanted to share this with you by Gunther. I hope anyone reading this and watching my videos can save a little time not struggling the way I did. I do eventually find answers in the very long descriptions.
I will likely do more examples with better subjects in the future!
Please comment if you have any suggestions or workflows
