I'm looking for suggestions for tripods to support a 3 foot Kessler slider. This question was asked and answered in the link below, but Gunther gives a German company. I'm looking for solution from a company easier to purchase from.

I currently own 2 Gitzo Carbon Fiber tripods but I think they are overkill for the slider project.

I think a ball head would be too to provide flexibility, so ball head suggestions are welcome. I have a Really Right Stuff ballhead, but again believe it is overkill for the slider application.
