Yes, but there is no battery in .

I think 5V2A is not enough. On my 6D and EOS M3 I need at least 2,4A. Better 3A.

Which power bank would you recommend then?

The ones I have are no longer available, but Anker is always a good choice

No there is no actual battery in the camera, the only thing inserted into the battery compartment is the Relay Camera coupler, that it is connected to the Onsite Case Relay which in turn is connected to the powerbank USB 2A outlet.

The problem is not the power bank, but the camera coupler from Tether Tools. The R6 cannot communicate with this dummy. A customer of mine had a similar problem with the Tether Tools camera coupler and my QCCP stick. Everything worked on a 5D MK4. On an R5, the message also came that the battery should be changed. It then worked with a dummy from LanParte.

Hi Sheeba, are you saying that all I need is the dummy from LanParte? https://www.firstlightoptics.com/batteri...-pack.html

Funnily enough I just tried the coupler with just the Relay Camera coupler, as this has a battery built in, and it does power the EOS R6 camera, then I inserted the USB into the power bank and it continued to power the camera.

This shows that it is not working properly. Unfortunately, it has to be said that these products from Tether Tools are expensive but not good.

On his website gwegner.de, Gunther wrote a lot about Powerbanks and all the potential issues. Hans Vollmer built a solution to overcome all these problems:
here are the links:
https://gwegner.de/ankuendigungen/qccp-s...ersorgung/ only in German
https://gwegner.de/blog/powerbanks-wechs...p-adapter/ including a video in english
the product site:

For translating the articles and the site I recommend deepl.com

I just discovered that in the Canon R6, if I insert the coupler, connect the Case Relay and then the power bank, I don't get the error message, but if I leave the coupler in the camera, then connect the Case Relay and then the power bank I get the error "CHANGE OR CHARGE THE BATTERY" ERROR. This does not happen with the Canon R, it powers up normally if I leave the coupler in. Does this indicate then, that the coupler though it is ok for the Canon R, it is the wrong coupler for the Canon R6?
Question, I have set the camera to switch of after been idle for 5 minutes, do I need to set this to DO NOT SWITCH CAMERA OFF when using a power bank?

kind regards,

Rodrigo
