I just shot a sequence of 1200 raw images of lightning over Chicgo with the new Canon 5D S R at 50MB each. I would like to downsize the raws to a much smaller size before processing in LR and LRT. Any ideas on a good batch process?

You could use the DNG Convert option in the LRTimelapse Importer, it will allow you to convert to DNG and resize by staying with RAW files (DNG then).
