Timelapse of 0sec for 380 pictures?

Offline
#1 timoune
Hi all,

I have few problems with some sequences. Here is how I work:

1. I edit my pics in LR
2. I export everything in TIFF using the export plugin
3. In LRtimelapse 3, I use the tool "render video".

I work like this because I don´t need all of the editing tool in LRtimelapse.

for some of my timelapses, the final video are really short: 0 secondes or 1 or few seconds. But I use LRtimelapse to browse and to choose the sequence I want in timelapse, LRtimelapse said that the timelapses will be at least 10 or 12 secondes (the information between bracket when you browse).

Does someone has information about this problem? Lor of my timelapses are really short compared to the amound of images (350-400). I produce timelapses at 23,976 fps.

Thanks a lot for your help !

I just tried something new...

When I export the sequence in JPEG from lightroom, the timelapses work perfectly.

Is it possible that too much TIFF can not be processed by LR 3.1 pro ?
do I loose a lot of quality if I export in JEPG instead of TIFF?

Thanks a lot!

Normally the TIFF export should work the same but I recommend using JPG, I do this for mostly all my professional work as well. After grading and reducing the contrasts in Lightroom on a RAW file basis, normally JPG can easily cover the resulting dynamic range.
You might check the log file after the exporter aborts (info/log).

Thanks a lot Gunther!

Thanks for your answer for the JPEG/TIFF. Pretty awesome to use JPEG!

Here is the log info that I just got from a rendering. I could not go further than the 7th picture in the sequence...

Please send the content of this log-file to support@lrtimelapse.com if you experience any problems.

Thanks a lot for your help... I don´t really understand what is wrong here...
I guess there is the log script from 2 tries

Hmm, it seems not to be able to read the files for what reason ever. Could you please check if they are somewhat locked or corrupt? Maybe you could try another driver for the intermediary sequence?

This is the error:

Thanks for your help Gunther, really appreciated.

The files don´t look corrupt... What do you mean by "locked" ? I just export the sequence from Lightroom without special settings.

What do you mean with "another driver" ? Do you mean an other hard disk? the JPEG are currently on a hard disk, that might be the problem. If I remember well, I already try to do it on the computer hard disk and it did not change anything...

Quite tough: it is doing this for most of the timelapses...

Thanks again for your help!

Sorry, I don't know - it must be something on your computer - the error says "input/output" error on the file system.
Try another location for the intermediary sequence (configured in the LRTExport plugin when exporting from Lightroom).
Maybe that drive is full or whatever.

Is it possible to change this file system? Sad

Thanks!

Yes, in Lightroom when exporting via LRTExport just choose another output location.

Look likes it worked for one... I will try more tonight and I will let you know...

If this is not working, I will have to find an other solution...

Thanks a lot!
