i seem to always have the same problem stabilizing certain Hyperlapse sequences. when i pass a pole/lightpole the stabilization always stops being smooth and beomes uneven (i uploaded a example clip i shot yesterday).

the sequence was shot very steady. in AE CC using the Warp Stabilizer VFX the clip is very smooth until the pole comes into the farme and then there are some un smooth frames before the clip goes back to being smooth. i have tried many settings (smoothness) but it always seems to be the same problem.
any tips on how to solve this problem?

Try masking off sections. For example just leave the crane exposed. See this related post:
