2.5mm socket issues, housing, delay feature

The places I buy electronic parts do not carry this socket, I had to special order them, and it will take almost two weeks to get them.  If I were doing it again I would put in a 3.5mm socket and buy adapters, which are easy to source.   I would then put a spare in the housing or shrink sleeve it to the cable as it will get lost.

I also wish it had a delay to start feature, there are clock add ons for Arduinos, but I am not a coder....

Lastly I had a housing in my shop which will work just fine ( including the battery holder) with a little bit of file to fit action.  It is made by Wisher, PN WCA-H2853.  It came either from Jameco or Frys.  Most likely Jameco, and cost, I suspect a couple of bucks.

For a delay to start you wouldn't need a realtime clock. It should be easy to add an option to wait say 60 minutes before starting to release the camera.
