Are these notches next to the on/off switch?

I have the same problem with mine, Its a 2.5 but had it just over two years unfortunately.

I've replaced the battery with a new one, it powers up when I plug it in to charge but doesnt charge up and turns off as soon as I unplug it.
Gunther, is there anything else I can do?

I was also having a similar charging issue with my LRT Pro 2.5 so have placed an order for the battery. I also noticed another battery CR1220 inside. Should I go ahead and replace that one as well?

The button cell is only to preserve the setting of the real time clock. It only needs to be replaced, if the clock resets after turning the timer off. Normally it lasts for a couple of years.
The battery that powers the timer is the bigger square one. Should you experience technical problems, please contact the support address mentioned above.
