I am new to this forum and timelapse photography. I would like to ask if anyone can recommend what battery to be used in the field for camera slider.

thats a good battery:
Minigorilla
or simply 8xAA batteries
I use both of them. It depends on your controller. Mine has a 12 volt dc input.
both of the batterie solutions have 12 volt output.
