Can I convert to DNG before using LRTimelapse

After I shoot a TL with my Canon 5D Mark 2, the first thing I do in load into Bridge, rename all files, add copyright to the metadata, save as DNG files and then delete the Canon CR2 files.

I have read somewhere on this forum that it is best to do no post processing until LRTimelapse has loaded the files. Is that true?

In other words should I keep them in the original CR2 Canon RAW format and not convert to DNG in Bridge.

I have used LRTimelapse a few times and saw some odd behavior with "stale Previews", so I am wondering if there is some truth in not converting the Canon RAW files to DNG.

Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich, your workflow is pretty fine! Normally there are no problems at all using DNGs. I do this very often as well!

If you encounter any specific problems please let me know!
