I am trying to change the preview resolution and a few others settings, but when I close the pop up window and go back to Preferences it goes back to the default settings. Any help?

After closing the settings window try restarting LRTimelapse before reopening it. It will save the settings on exit.

Even after re-starting the program, it goes back to the original settings! It was working on my previous computer, but since I downloaded it on the new computer it does not record the preferences! Should I re-install it?

Are you on a mac?
You can figure out the location of the settings file via the log (info/show log).
Now check if this file has write permissions and make it writeable if not.
