Could not create virtual machine

Hi Gwegner,

I am not getting any error when trying to open the trial.
I have been using it for about a week now with no problems but today it will just not start.

It will open the splash screen with the title and book then after about 2 seconds it will crash.

I have edited the cmd file, reinstalled Java, installed x86 Java, uninstalled LRT2 and reinstalled a few times, restarted my computer as well and followed every other solution in the thread.

This is what the cmd file says just before it closes
Any other ideas for me to try as this is a little different to the others?

Also I just tried to install on my laptop and it is doing the exact same thing. Both are running Win 7 with 64 bit OS and 10gb RAM for the desktop and 4gb RAM for the laptop

Hi Gwegner,
I'm having identical symptoms to mtfreestyler... anything else we can check?
Thanks

I don't know if you found it yet Tassie but in another thread we figured out it was the date on your operating system screwing it up.

Change the date to Dec 1st 2012 or earlier and it will work just fine

Just after LRTL installation I experienced the same problem with virtual machine error message, and I've tried all what suggested (newest v7u9 64-bit Java with admin rights on run, LRTL2 newest version with admin right on run). After all that trials (and reinstallations of LRTL and Java) LRTL still fails to start but now no error shown. There is just starting splashscreen for a second (until LRTR logo appears on) and than it quits without any warning.
Likely no lack of memory issue as there is 16GB RAM (win7 64bit)

Thanks for any hint

I am having this issue as well, Win7Ux64, system 100% up to date.

You better sort out this issue before I spend my money on it!

I am certainly not giving Java admin-rights given all the security issues lately with Java.

Should not be necessary to give either java or the app admin rights, seem more like poorly written software.

Let us know when the issue has been sorted out.
