Just got LRT4 installed after deleting LRT3. Since I bought LR3 March 28, it was a free upgrade. So went thru the whole process in LR & LRT and got to the rendering part in LRT. Rendered TL in Lightroom and then went to LRT to render out video. After selecting parameters in LRT such as 1080, 422, 29.97, I go to render the video and get an error message that says, "Could not launch external encoder. Check log file for details." Now what? It won't render. Any ideas for a solution

So, could you provide me the log file? You'll find it in the info menu / show log.
