is it possible to install ddserver onto an existing Installation of Openwrt?

Yes it is.
You can get the latest ddserver package (ddserver_0.2-13_ar71xx.ipk) at: http://dslrdashboard.info/downloads/ (scroll down).

Be aware that this for the ar71xx processor routers, if yours is different then a package for that processor is needed.

thanks for the link, it worked like a charme i only needed to install uclibcxx.

I don't know wheter it is okay to post links to other openwrt relases, but with the used release i am also able to use a 3G/4G usb modem with the mr3040.
