Deflicker and reference

Offline

Can someone explain why once I've done the reference point on an area that is good, the pink line goes very flat with no major peaks and drops ( which I thought would be the ideal line to minimise flicker) then once the deflicker starts to be applied it seems to end up with just as much flicker as always. Am I missing something?

Maybe that sequence does not have linear brightness flicker, but some kind of contrast flicker. Then you deflicker for the reference area - the flat line shows that LRTimelapse did its job, but other, darker parts flicker. Often this happens due to too heavy editing in Lightroom with non linear tools. Try redoing the sequence with less editing. Avoid using clarity, dehaze, whites, blacks too much.
