The drone become a fantastic tool to make timelapse.

But how deal with a DNG files as the XMP are encapsulated ?

LRTimelapse fully supports DNG files and that special kind of XMP handling. If the DNGs don't provide previews, LRTimelapse since 4.7.5 will try to create them too.
