I just tested LRTimelapse 6.0.4. Before that I deleted the .lrt directories. I still got the error.
Only after I deleted the XMP files were the errors gone and interval is OK.

Are the intervals calculated from the times of the XMP files if they exist?

Metadata / Reload Exif would have been sufficient!
