Get error when trying to re-render previously rendered video (7.4.2 Beta 3)

Hi

I can provide more detail, but here are the key items.
I have gone through the recommended workflow for creating a number of videos in LRTimelapse (using LRTimelaps + Adobe LRC).
* When trying to re-reneder an previously rendered video (File -> Render Video...), it keep defaulting to the last rendered video.
* The "Render Pre-Exported Intermediate Sequence" is selected.
* I go into "Choose" (for "Task"), and choose one of the "preexported" selections provided.
* I then get the error "No suitable image sequence found." .....
- I tried a number of items, even the one it is defaulting to, and I get the same error.

Note: I did search the Forum for this, but didn't find what I needed.

I may be missing something obvious, but I am not sure what I am missing.

Please let me know if more information is needed.

Thanks,
-Steven

When you do "Choose", you need to select one of the preexported intermediate sequences whose folder names begin with LRT_*. In those folders, there should be .jpg or .tiff files. Please double check.
If this is the case, you should be able to select them.

I did choose one of the preexported items containing intermediate sequences that begin with LRT_*. It tried to navigate into those folders, but that didn't work.

Are there screen shots or something I could provide that would help ?

Try opening those folders in Explorer/Finder, see if there are images inside.
You can upload screenshots here in the forum (user the reply feature - not quick reply) then under post options you can add your screenshots. Also add the log file after the problem happens (info menu).

FYI, I am on a Mac

Before I upload screen shots, let me clarify the directory structure.
I will also just try to focus on the one re-render.

**I the have the following directory structure**

/Volumes/Photos-02-SSD/Pictures-Lightroom/2025/0920-BarkInThePark/ ## (1) Base Directory
├── Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01 ## (2) Contains original CR3 raw and xmp files.
├── Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01-LRExport ## (3) Base directory for exported LRT_* files.
│   ├── LRT_Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01 ## (4) Contains exported (after LRC + LRT)
│   ├── Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01_ProRes-444_Rec.2020F_OriRes_24_UHQ_mb03.mov ## Previously rendered file

The left side of "Files and Folders" shows : "/Volumes/Photos-02-SSD/Pictures-Lightroom/2025/0920-BarkInThePark/Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01" (Item (2) above)

Choosing the "Render Video button while the above is selected defaults to the last Folder selection; I then select "Choose" and "/Volumes/Photos-02-SSD/Pictures-Lightroom/2025/0920-BarkInThePark/Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01" (item (2) above) is one of the options. That gives the "No Suitable images..."

Since the export was into "/Volumes/Photos-02-SSD/Pictures-Lightroom/2025/0920-BarkInThePark/Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01-LRExport/LRT_Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01/" (item (4) above containing the LRT_* files), I am surprised that is not one of the options.

Sorry if this is confusing. I hope this helps give more details though.

Also, is there a way to change text to bold or use mono-spaced fonts in this forum ?

Yes it's confusing and it's not how it should be done with LRT.
As explained in my tutorials, use two different branches for the Raw Timelapse sequences and the exports.

Timelapse-RAW/2025/Shooting Whatever/Timelapse Name 1
Timelapse-RAW/2025/Shooting Whatever/Timelapse Name 2

and then point the output folder to a folder called Timelapse-Done, where you will get the intermediate sequences and videos created.

Timelapse-Done/LRT_Timelapse Name 1
Timelapse-Done/LRT_Timelapse Name 2

For rerendering select those.

Don't nest the output folders under the original sequences!!

On mac also make sure that LRT has full disk access: https://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-how...pse-on-mac

I wasn't clear in my recent post, I actually did not nest output folders under the sequence.

The "raw" and "output" folders are as follows (respectively):

....<same-base-dir>..../Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01/ ## Raw Images
image_1.dng
....
image_n.dng

....<same-base-dir>..../Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01-LRExport/LRT_Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01 ## DONE/Output LRT data
LRT_image_1.tiff
....
LRT_image_n.tiff

FWIW, I already had full disk access turned on for LRT.

I may be missing something but as mentioned, the raw and processed are not nested.
When I exported the images (as LRT_*), I created Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01-LRExport at the same level as the raw data (because of your tutorial recommendation).
Inside Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01-LRExport it created a directory called LRT_Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01 (it was specified in LRC).

Could the extra level cause an issue ?

EDIT: I fixed the typo as the exported "outputs" are actually TIFF files not dng as I had put.

Why would those LRT_image_1.dng files exist? LRTimelapse doesn't ever create intermediate DNG files.
If you export via LRTExport, you can choose TIFF or JPG intermediates, if you export from LRT it's always JPGs.
You cannot render from DNG files.

Regarding the folder structure I told you to let LRT use a different Base folder for the intermediates.

Sorry about the typo in my post.
The issue with there being LRT_*.dng was a typo for this thread, the files are TIFF as I exported them from LR Classic. I updated my previous message.
Also, I think I found the issue.

W.r.t. the folder structure, the raw are in different structures than the exported (from LRC, beginning with LRT_*).

Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01/ ## Raw Images
Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01-LRExport/LRT_Timelapse-BarkInThePark-01 ## DONE/Output LRT data

I am in the midst of re-reviewing your video and think I may have found the issue; I will let you know either way. I think I see the issue with my workflow.

Scenario 1: I want the following

AllMyPhotos/ ## Added to LRTimelapse, on the left
....photos_RAW/
....photos_DONE/

Scenario 2: But I have the following
AllMyPhotos/
....photos_RAW/ ## Added to LRTimelapse, on the left
....photos_DONE/ ## NOT Added to LRTimelapse

I tried adding the parent of the blue directory beginning with LTR_* and was able to successfully bring it up in the render dialog.

FWIW, TLDR
The reason I ended up in this situation is the following organization
Pictures/
....2025/
........0325-Yosemite/ ## RAW CR3 files; this directory was added to LRT
........0325-Yosemite-LRT/ ## Exported TIFF files; this was created by LRC when exporting, but was not in LRT.
........<PHOTOS for a bunch of other days in 2025>

It appears LRTimelapse in the above scenario will be able to render the TL when you first go through the process even thought 0325-Yosemite-LRT was not in LRT; when re-rendering though, it needs to be there.

I will modify how I manage these.

Thanks for your help!

If you use a restricted folder tree, you need to add both, the folder with the Raw Files and the Folder with the Exports into that tree.
In you case, adding "AllMyPhotos" should do the trick.

Still, I think the way to organize it as I described it is much better, having two different top level folders for RAW and "Done" and add only those two to the list of restricted folders. Everything else will then be organized below.
Putting the Output Folders with the LRT_* folders with the exported files and the videos together with the raw files will only lead to confusion and is not how it's meant to be done.
