Hi,
I find iMove '11 easier to use over the other software I have (Premiere Elements which I think is terrible by comparison) for sequencing clips and a soundtrack, however when I import a movie rendered as 1080i via the LR-Timelapse Lightroom slideshow video export template, the colours are very poor in the case of my night time video. They are fine in the exported MP4, but not in iMove.
It does not matter if I import "original size" or downsample it in iMove. What is this effect called and why does it happen?
Below is a screenshot of what I mean. If anyone can suggest the reason and any solutions or alternative workflows, I would be very grateful to hear.
