iMovie vs Pro Premier

Offline
#1 xoda
I have access to Pro Premier via my Adobe CC subscription, but I was wondering if there's any advantage to using it vs just using a simple program like iMovie.

I just have a video (5-7) timelapse videos I want to mix together, with some music and maybe simple panning or zooming in/out. I believe all those functions are available in iMovie (please correct me if Im wrong). Are there advanced and really nice features I'm missing out by not using Pro Premier or other software?

I don't know iMovie, but I heard from some users, that it's quite limited.
Video quality and export options will probably be better when using Premiere Pro too.
If you start learning video editing, why not use the right tool from the start instead? Just my thoughts.
