This indicates that another instance of LRTimelapse is running or was not closed correctly.
Please restart your computer (chose not to restore running processes), install the latest version of LRTimelapse via https://lrtimelapse.com/download/
LRTimelapse needs write access to your Documents folder, please allow this - best give LRTimelapse "Full Disk Access" as described here:
https://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-how...pse-on-mac

Now launch LRTimelapse via the installed App in the Applications folder.

While LRTimelapse is running it creates a semaphore file /Users/mycat0725/Documents/LRTimelapse/LRTimelapse_running
This indicates that it's running. LRTimelapse itself will be creating and updating it and delete it when it's closed.
It's crucial that LRTimelapse have full access to this file therefore.
Try deleting it manually. Then LRT should launch. Check what happens after you close LRT - the file should go away.
If not, something is not right with the permissions on your mac.

In general (for other users): what the user is experiencing here is not "normal behavior". On a normal mac, everything will run smoothly without interfering or configuring. You just need to allow access to Documents, Volumes etc. when you get asked by the OS on first launch of LRTimelapse.
