Hi,

I'm hoping to A/B Preview Videos to take a better look, but when I go to Render Preview Video I receive an error message. It is worth noting, that this is only when I'm working on files that are on my external hard drive. The hard drive is password protected, but of course I have entered the password and unlocked the hard drive to work on the files. When I have files directly on my mac hard drive, I can render preview videos without issue. I can also render the full video without issue on either hard drive.

I guess your Mac OS might be blocking the access.
You should grant LRTimelapse full disk access. See faq: https://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-wil...-and-later

Unfortunately after granting full disk access, closing LRTimelapse, and reopening again I experience the same result. However I've tried this with a few short directories with fewer photos, and notice that the very first time I click "Render Preview Video" I can choose my directory. However, after this the same error message comes up. Then, every time I press the "Render Preview Video" button again the same error message shows up without letting me select the output folder for rendered files.

Any further thoughts? The links below are screenshots of the "render output folder" screen that appears the first time that I press the "Render Preview Video" button, my disk access permission selection, and the popup error if that's helpful for some reason. Also the log file is below.

Obviously ffmpeg (the encoder) is not getting permissions to access the temp folder.
You might try assigning the full disk access to ffmpeg also (located in /usr/local/bin)

Also I'm wondering why you are doing "render preview video" - that's not the "real" render function in LRT - it will only assemble a video from the small resolution preview files.

The right way would be to follow the workflow, export the intermediary sequence from Lightroom and then render.
