Installing exiftool problem.

Hi, I'm a new LRTimelapse user and tried to install exiftool but didn't go well.

I tried to do stands alone version and here's exactly what I did.
1. Download "exiftool(-k).exe"
2. Rename to "exiftool.exe"
(I didn't understand what does "drag-and-drop files and folders to view meta information" exactly meant)
3. The renamed "exiftool.exe" drag to "C:\WINDOWS"
4. Type "exiftool" at the command pronpt, but it shows error.

I did uninstall and tried again for a several times but didn't go well at all.
What's the wrong with this?

I'm using, Windows7 64bit and Latest Java

Thanks

On windows you don't need to install Exiftool manually. Just install LRTimelapse via the installer, and the main screen of LRTimelapse should say "LR4-Mode / Exiftool". That means Exiftool is up and running. Maybe you stumbled over an outdated explanation somewhere in the web.

Thanks, but when I open the LRTimelapse, it always says;

"LRTimelapse does not support preview extracting for all of your file-types natively. Please download ExifTool from
http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
Installation:
Follow the instructions on http://lrtimelapse.com/install/"

in the window. Also in the upper part says
"LRTimelapse 2.1.1" "LR4-Mode, ExifTool not installed"

Okay, in this case just make sure the (renamed) exiftool.exe is located in c:\program files (x86)\LRTimelapse

No need to copy anything to \windows\ etc...

It might help to uninstall and reinstall LRTimelapsee as well.

Just uninstalled and re-installed and it worked.

Thank you!
