Is the Interval metadata utilized by LRTimelapse?

I'm curious if and how the Interval metadata utilized by LRTimelapse. Furthermore, I'm curious if anyone bothers to convert their Dynamic Interval time-lapses back to a more traditional Linear depiction of time, and if so what are their thoughts on the matter?

For many years I have just used Fixed Frame, for my time-lapses; however, more recently I have been utilizing Auto-Ramping mode; which has dynamic Interval settings (typically clamped to Min Interval of 6s for clouds and a Max of 30s to avoid star streaking). I believe I can write a relatively simple script that could duplicate frames based on their Interval metadata. Most of the shorter Interval photo information would likely be lost when the footage is sped up to get the longer Interval images back to 1:1 with the video FPS; however, these extra frames could be utilized for a more accurate motion blur leading up until sunset.

Has anyone else tried this here?

Cheers,
Hays
