Is there an optimum JPEG resolution?

When shooting RAW + JPEG, the JPEG file is used to speed the upload to DDB. On most cameras it is possible to select from several JPEG resolutions (e.g., S, M, L, etc.). I've been using SMALL but wonder if DDB might give different (better?) image results depending on the resolution of the JPEG file.

Does JPEG resolution matter when shooting the HG with DDB. Ignore "time", I am interested in what gives the best DDB image quality/control.
Canon user: 5DM3, 5DM2, Rhino Slider (24" & 42"), Emotimo TB3. Use Adobe ACR and AE.

I use small as well. It does not matter how good or weak the preview is in DDB, you don't need resolution there. The preview is only being used for the brightness analysis.
It's more important that transferring the preview is as fast as possible. Thus the "small"-setting.
