Issue with using crop between 2 adjacent key frames

I have recently downloaded LRTimelapse 4.7.4. This is my first download and it looks very impressive. However, I thought I'd take a time lapse of 400 frames to test it out, but I also wanted to try a fade in & out and a zoom. I setup 4 key frames and between two adjacent key frames (the first one and the second one) I cropped the frame to about 1/4 of the area on the first frame and left the second frame uncropped. I also reduced the exposure to -5 stops on the final key frame.

When producing the Timelapse video I notice that the fade out between the the 3rd and last key frame worked really well, but the zoom out between the 1st frame and the 2nd frame did not. The result was a zoom out between the 1st frame and the last frame. Is this the correct function built into LRTimelapse 4.7.4. ?

Thanks for the very prompt reply. I have read all the Ken Burns effect threads now so I'll have another attempt at what I was trying to do using 5* Key frames.
