I've downloaded LRTimelapse (mac OSX), and once I open it the launch screen opens for a few seconds and then closes again. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Which version of MacOS are you using? I didn't have a report like this yet. I'd just recommend to reinstall and reboot the computer.

I'm using version 10.11.14 - have tried rebooting, etc already, but got it to work on my other computer instead! Thanks

Hmm, it's strange that it doesn't work on the first computer.
