Loading initial luminance curve taking forever

Offline
#1 Novelectro
Hi Gunther

Just wondering if you had any idea why this it's taking so long to load this sequence. I haven't seen anything like this before, the exif data loads and then the luminance curve is at a crawl. After 5 minutes of waiting it's only at the 33rd frame in the timelapse out of 1500. I am getting the sequence from an external drive, but I always do that and haven't seen this before. Logfile is below but I haven't done anything yet so I'm not sure how helpful it is.

What type of images are those? From which camera? If those images doesn't have any previews embedded, the initial loading will take long. Normally all Raw files have previews embedded, exceptions are Cinema DNG files and some GoPro "raw" files, where the initial generation will take quite long.

Unfortunately the log doesn't show the sequence loading.

They're big files from an uncompressed a7riii raw, so they're 82MB. And it's a decent size sequence (about 1500 images). So it should take more time than a normal timelapse but it did seem unusual. I waited it out and it eventually went through.

You might want to put such sequences on a fast internal SSD. Maybe you can also set the camera to not embed full size JPGs as previews, but smaller ones, but I don't know, if this is possible.
