Lr not reading .xmp files

Lightroom Classic 9( LR) is not reading .xmp files from LRTimelapse 5.3.2 (LRT). I have spent many hours searching for an answer on your website and generally with no luck. I have tried reading the .arw files directly from the sd card into LRT and dragging them into LR the same problem no keyframes. My last attempt with short set of files I imported them into LR and converted to .dng. Loaded these files into LRT… set key frames (first and last) and saved. As the files were already in LR selected all read metadata… no key frames!! So in LR I manually put 4* on the first and last frames and altered the develop settings…select all write metadata. In LRT after reload those changes are there key frames and develop alterations to first and last frames. Using Auto Transitions worked fine could see all the steps made between first and last frames. Back in LR select all read metadata no changes in the intermediate files. Again not reading the .xmp files. Note the xmp files are visible in finder. It seems LR is not reading xmp but is writing them??!!
Seems it is a LR problem not a LRT one. Can anyone help.

Best would be to work on the ARW files directly, it faster then on DNGs.
Use copy or the LRTimelapse importer to bring those files to your harddrive / ssd. Don't try to work with LRTimelapse direcly on files on a memory card.
Then try again, follow my instructions on https://lrtimelapse.com/workflow - in the visual workflow section.
