I've just upgraded to LR4, but quickly went back to LR3 mode (2010 process) within LR4, to get rid of flicker, that is inherent to 2012 process.

Question is : should I set LRT to LR3 or LR4 mode ? Is this setting related to LR version or process version ?

Well, LRT answered me directly. I get a warning when process does not match. So it is based on process version, not LR version. Sorry for the disturbance...
