Could you please check the same thing in the console (Clear console, Open, Close LRT), and give me that output after closing LRT?

This is ffrom the console after opening and closing LRTimelapse \:

Okay, there is no saving of the properties file occurring.
I'm going to look into this this evening, maybe I'll send you a test version with more debug output if that's okay for you. It's interesting because on most Macs it works.

Have you checked the permissions of the folder?
Another thing you could try is completely delete the LRTimelapse folder at that location and start over.

I trashed and reinstalled LRTimelapse and the LRTimelapse folder in Application Support earlier this morning.

I have checked permissions and the folder and application and they are read and write for my user name.

Yes, I'll be glad to try a test verion.
Thanks for all your efforts.

Hi, your problem drove me nuts - but I think, I solved it.

Question: Have you ever closed LRTimelapse via the red button on the top left? I assume you have only cloded it with Apple-Q am I right?

Currently it seems to be that Apple-Q kills the process without running through the shutdown sequence -> that means no settings saved.

Please try closing the Application via the close Button until I have found out, how to trap that Apple-D and send that beast to my shutdown sequence in the next version.

Please tell me that I'm right ;-)

That did it. I now can work with the LR4 process version 2012.
I usually quit apps with Apple-Q. I did shut it down once via LRTimelapse> Quit LRTimelapse from the menu bar and that did not save setting either. But, quiting from the quit button on the LRTimelapse window does work just fine.

Thanks for all your attention to the problem.

You are welcome. Unfortunately Apple _always_ does it's own stuff regardless of any common rules or platform independencies of Java. It's simply a PITA. I'm trying since 2 hours now and still couldn't find a way to properly trap that behavior.

I have just made a donation.

It is probably worth the time and trouble to solve the issue. Here in the States, most photographers I know work with Macs. I teach in several photo programs here, and all but one (the one with the weakest digital program) work with Macs.

Thanks again.

Thank you very much.

You wouldn't imagine it: 70 Lines of code only to register that Mac-Specific CMD-Q handler in a compatible way...

But I finally got it working. Fortunately in Europe mac-manics are not so wide spread. ;-) Currently 35% of the LRTimelapse users use a Mac. There is still hope Wink

Please give it a try: <LINK REMOVED>

CMD-Q will be trapped correctly in the next version (1.7.3). Until then please use the red button to close the application!

I seems to work with Apple+Q. Here are the last lines when I quit from the log:

[2012-03-15 18:16:27] INFO: Producer thread ended
[2012-03-15 18:16:27] DEBUG: Trying to save settings to /Users/peter_calvin/Library/Application Support/LRTimelapse/user.props
