LRTPTF - slightly amended 3D housing

Hi

I have already postet this tread in the German Forum but I thought it could also be of interest to the English speaking users.

I would like to share with you the slightly amended side walls of my new LRTPTF. It all startet when I decided to build a second timer and had the wish to get it in black-pink. The partner of a friend of mine agreed to print the parts for me as per Christian's documentation. After looking at the documentation he amended the side walls. And therefore not only did my new "girly-timer" get the colors I was looking for but also side walls which are more stable and which already had the holes for the switch and the plug (fits to the conponents I had ordered using the current links on the project page).

Therefore I could fully concentrate myself of soldering the inner parts of the intervalometer and not needed to solder any holes in the housing and the result is much nicer:-)

In my first LRTPTF I had used the soldering iron to get the holes done....

The walls in this version are flush with the black part of the housing and therefore one does not loose any space inside. The pattern on the picture is due to the pink-transparent filament I have ordered. It is only a pattern and no bumpiness.

My colleague who has designed the new walls and printed out the case for me gave me the construction plans and I am allowed to share it with you. I thought this might be of interest to other users who have access to a 3D printer. For me it was very helpful, that the holes have been printed in and the result looks much nicer. Furthermore I also like the thicker walls. In the following link you find the files he used to print out my walls. I cannot say anything to the file as I have only watched the printer printing out these pink parts.

Putting everything together worked well for me. I am sure that everybody with 3D printer experience will be able to adapt the files easily.

Best regards
Monika
