LRTimelapse4 + ML FullRes Silent Picture mode

Hello everyone, first post here. Rather new to the world of time-lapse photography, which I only approached this past summer, I'm trying to wrap my head around the post-processing workflow.

As a Canon 5DmkII owner, I used Magic Lantern's Full Resolution Silent Picture mode which allows to produce high-res .DNG files from the camera liveview without activating the shutter. I only use this function for short timelapse sessions with mostly consistent lighting conditions. Therefore I thought post-processing would be to demanding, but I have encountered some issues.

First of all, for some reason, the DNG files straight out of the camera are not correctly previewed on my computer (Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5), this is what I get instead:

I've read this has happened to other people before, with various versions of Mac OS, but I'm still not sure what causes it. However, the DNG files are read fine by Adobe applications. Not, however, by LRTimelpase, which gives me this warning when I try to import the DNG sequence:

Following the advice, I get onto Lightroom and import the sequence, Updating DNG preview and Metadata. Once I do this, I can return to LRTimelapse which is now able to load a preview. However, after operating the Keyframe Wizard, Saving and going back to Lightroom, LRTimelapse keyframes do not appear!

I've tried updated the Lightroom sequence to load LRTimelapse metadata, unsuccessfully.
I've tried deleting the images from Lightroom and dragging them from LRTimelapse, unsuccessfully (I made sure to follow the right steps: library, add, etc.) This is how I import into Lightroom them from LRTimelpase:

Are these the correct settings? Should I change anything?

Anyway, the keyframes/stars won't show up in Lightroom. I am pretty sure I have followed the instructions from this thread correctly. I am just not sure what "initialising the sequence in LRTimelapse means, since it is not mentioned in the video tutorial I am following: https://vimeo.com/126256818

I am just assuming that, because of the preview issue I explained above (to solve which I have to import the DNGs into Lightroom first and produce metadata for the LRTimelapse preview), the workflow wouldn't work properly. It is probably worth noting that, working on .DNG files generated with the Magic Lantern Full Res Picture mode, I do not have accurate info for the picture I am working with. This is what the info panel looks like in LRTimelapse:

Sorry for the long thread, wanted to be thorough and provide all the info I could.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Those DNGs seem not to have Previews and Exif Data.
The first you fixed by letting Lightroom create the previews, that's the right approach.
The second one (no exif data, no date/time) might be a reason for the metadata not travelling.

Please send me one or two of those files (best the original ones without preview) to support(at)lrtimelapse(dot)com - please refer to this thread. I will look into it then.

Thanks Gunther, just sent the e-mail with a download link with two original files from another sessions (without added metadata from Lightroom).

In fact, with the metadata also the Finder preview seems to work fine now:
