Hi, I just got this program , loaded it but it fails right after a quick splash screen. I have the latest java and can't figure out why it doesn't load. I read older posts and have tried all that was suggested

MacBook Pro 8 gab ram, mountain lion, all updates

Good Morning, I think I did what you asked but not sure...After typing the SUDO command, it did ask me for my password but then just came back with the prompt. I can usually get things to work, so don't know what the problem is. I thank you for your help...
