MAGIC LANTERN EXPOSURE ISSUES

Offline
#1 YvanNeault
Hi everybody.

First of all I want to thank Gunther for his great job.

I would like to open a chat with some Magic Lanter experts here. I'm a pro photographer and videographer living on easter island. I should everyday some footages, photos or timelapses. I was used to work with dslrdashboard. But I really love all the great fonctionnality of Magic Lantern for video, and a lot of other great tools for photography too.

My problem is that it seems that the exposure doesn't get so smooth during a holy grain than the results I had on dslrdashboard.

Here are my settings :

canon 5d m2
auto ETTR
-Always on
-Slowest shutter : 10"
-Exposure target  -0,5 EV
-Highlight ignore  0,2%
-Midtone SNR LIMIT 3 EV
-Shadow SNR LIMIT 2 EV
-Link to Dual Iso : ON

DUAL ISO : ON

INTERVALOMETER : EVERY 15 SEC

LRT
Settings-Experts : threshold : 0,0 EV

I shoot RAW and I have the EXIF for every single photo.

PROCESS LRT HOLY GRAIL MODE
164 IMAGES - 31 CHANGES OF EXPOSURE
F4,5
SHUTTER STARTING AT 1/60 ENDING AT 10"
ISO STARTING AT 100 ENDING AT 800

1 - I initialize the CR2 files (raw)
2 - I press the button keyframe wizzard
3- I didn't need to adjust anything with the button holy grail wizard
4- I save
5- I open Lightroom and can see that the 2 stars and 3 stars images have slight differences of exposure. I need to change them manually.

Why is that ? I just enter raw files in LRT what makes the difference between raw files taken with dslrdashboard and raw files from magic lantern ?

I never had any issue before.

Can you Help ?

thanks a lot guys, and if I can your thoughts Gunther it could be great ! Hope to see you one day on my island
